I just got off the phone after a great coaching session. This person, who I coached, like most, wants to develop his sense of humor and learn to lighten up. This is his overall topic or agenda and we coach from this point. Usually a client will call me every two weeks for a one hour humour coaching session. During the interval we agree on homework assignments and tasks to do. We talk about the results and often work toward a specific goal such as adding humour to a presentation, or seeing the comedy in the commonplace of life and learning to laugh about it.
I believe that there is a humourous being inside of all human beings. It first appeared when we laughed as infants. It reappears when we see the lighter side of life and chuckle as an adult. My job as a professional personal coach is to ask the type of questions and suggest activities that will help the client see this humourous being inside of them.
What makes these sessions great for me is that I get to help people develop their own sense of humour. I get juiced seeing people grow and develop in their personal and professional lives.
If you think coaching can help you contact me and ask for a complimentary 30 minute session.
Hello blogging world! This is my first blog on my revamped website!
I was born (at a young age) the fourth child of four children. This is when I began to develop my sense of humour. Making my other siblings and their friends laugh was not too high a price to pay for endless hours of babysitting and play. It was here where I learned that humour skills can be learned. As an infant, I have been told that I laughed and smiled a lot. This was the first step in developing my sense of humour. To learn more steps and to get some tips to improve your sense of humour check this blog.
My mission is to help leaders laugh and learn. Leaders are people who make a difference. I honour my mission by speaking to groups and coaching people like you to develop their own sense of humor. This helps you grow both personally and professionally. I also speak to groups, organizations, associations and corporations at conferences and in workplaces on this theme.
I plan to blog on the first, third and sixth Wednesdays of each month.
